(57)【要約】 【課題】 低温定着性と高温での耐オフセット性に 優れ、粒度分布が狭く、現像機中での過粉砕による画像 劣化が起こり難い電子写真用球形トナーとその製造方法 を提供すること。 【解決手段】 重量平均分子量が30,000〜50 0,000で、カルボキシル基と、それ以外のイオン性 基(a1)とを併有するポリエステル系樹脂(A)と、 着色剤(B)とからなる着色樹脂溶融体(I)を、該着 色樹脂溶融体(I)の溶融状態を維持しつつ水性媒体 (II)中に分散させ、次いで冷却し、乾燥する電子写真 用球形トナーの製造方法、および、該ポリエステル樹脂 (A)と、着色剤(B)とを必須成分として含有してな る電子写真用球形トナー。
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic spherical toner excellent in low temperature fixability and anti-offsetting property at high temperature, having a narrow particle size distribution and less liable to cause image deterioration due to overgrinding in a developing machine and to provide a method for producing the toner. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the electrophotographic spherical toner, a molten colored resin (I) comprising a polyester resin (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 30,000-500,000 and having both carboxyl groups and other ionic groups (a1) and a colorant (B) is dispersed in an aqueous medium (II) while maintaining the molten state of the molten colored resin (I) and the resulting dispersion is cooled and dried. The electrophotographic spherical toner contains the polyester resin (A) and the colorant (B) as essential components.
